HEAVY RAIN EXPECTED.
The Government meteorologist telegraphed to day :—The indications are for variable and strong breezes, but southerly winds strong to gale prevailing shortly. Expect dull weather with much mist and tog 111 parts. Heavy rain is to be expected wit li rivers rising shortly. The barometer has a falling tendency, but rising after about & hours.
