WEDDING.
PALTRIDGE-KNOX
A wedding was celebrated at the Shirley Methodist Church. Christchurch, on June 3, 1920, the Rev. W. C. Olliver officiating, when Miss Daisy Knox, of Shirley, was married to Mr George Paltridge, of Palmerston North. The bride looked charming in. a gown of cream net over silk, with a veil of blonde lace, and carried a bouquet of • daisies. Ilio bridesmaid/ Miss Zuideo Dunford (Feilding), wore a dainty rose chrystallino frock, large black hat, and carried a shower bouquet of autumntinted chrysanthemum's. The little flower girls, Audrey Drury and Betty Marks, were dressed prettily in champagne charmcuse frocks, mob caps with powder-blue _ ribbons, and carried baskets of yellow daisies. The bridegroom, Staff-Sergeant Paltridge, and the best man, Mr T. Knox, are both Main Body men. Mrs Knox, mother of the bride, wore a smart grey costume and entertained the guests at tea in the Sn>rlev Hall. Mr and Mrs Paltridge left later for the north, the bride wearing a navy tailored costume smartly braided, and close-fitting hat in navy corded silk and gold.
