(Jack) Quill, who left these shores early in the war. Mr W. li. Bowden has in training a filly by Bon/onian —Prevail. She is claimed to bo the making of a fine racer. Mr M. 11. Ayre (town dork) was yesterday run into by a cyclist while in the act of‘stepping away from a motor-bus. He received a nasty shaking and several bruises.' The lad on the bicycle was more frightened than hurt. Welcome rain has fallen during the past few days, and the dusty roads and dry pastures are looking the better for it.
