DEVON CAPTAIN'S APPEAL.
FOR RE-HEARING OF WRECK ENQUIRY.
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 3. Mr M. Myers, on behalf of Captain Caunco, has asked for a re-hearing of tho enquiry into the wreck of the Devon. He points out that Captain Caunce is unable to lodge the necessary security for an appeal against the Court's decision in the ordinary way. *
THE CARGp HANDLERS. WELLINGTON, Sept. 3. The Harbour Board to-day considered tho position of tho permanent employees suspended on Monday for refusing to handle cargo salvaged from the Devon.
The men forwarded an admission that they had actod wrongly, and tho Hoard eventually decided that thev be reinstated with the less of three days' pay.
