LABOUR AGITATORS CONDEMNED.
VIEWS OF EMPLOYERS' ASSOCIA TIONS.
(Pir Priss Association.) WELLINGTON. Sept. 4. Vigorous condemnation of tho attitude of some of tho workers' leaders and tho spirit engendered in the minds of some workers is contained in the annual report of tho Wellington Employers' Association. "In common with other industrial world centres," tho report states, "New Zealand is ex|>eriencinir its full sliaro of the troubles brought about by what your committee considers are prevalent mistaken ideas in tho minds of some workers that they are not. receiving adequate pay for services lVndered, and that their interests and those of their employers are antagonistic. The inouloation of these beliefs is directly duo to the advocacy of a considerable section'of workers' leaders, who are creating a grave and hurtful spirit in the minds of many workers, and tho belief that they are not receiving fair treatment from their employers. The resulting dissatisfaction is showing not only in the decreasing efficiency in tho work in hand, but also in the characters of the workers. The absence of the right spirit in many employees is plainly apparent, and this must inevitably injuriously affect thoir moral fibro and general character and efficiency. The present, attitudo of tho workers towards their work is a large factor in creating disinclination on the part of thoef with capital to venture into anv new industry. The open ndvocacv of lawlessnejs and tho disregard of both legal and moral obligations by some of the leaders is doing untold harm to this Dominion."
