HOCKEY.
The executive- of the Manawatu Hockey Association met last evening. There were present: Messrs W. Crump (chairman:, A. Webb, A. Anderson, W. Primrose, A. Cleaver and C. J. Mcllardie (lion. sec.).
Tho High School Ladies' Club wrote applying for the reoission of their requost to withdraw tho B team f;om tlw competition. Tho application was not granted, it now being too. lato to admit tho team.
, Permission was given tho same club to play Wanganui Girls' College on tho High School grounds on Saturday, The resignation of Mr D. Park from tho executive was accepted-with regret, and Mr It. H. Billons was appointed to tho vacancy Tho meeting approved tho appointment of Mr Horo Karcuti as referee in the Norclcn Cup match against Ilorowhemia, at Levin to-morow; Tho local rops. will leave Palmerston by tho 12.15 p.m. train. Permission was granted the Post Office Club to play Mastorton P. and T. on Saturday, oii No. 3, Showground.
