The Customs claim for £30 for petrol duty was duo to the absence of a declaration that Willows, the English inventor, was not selling his dirigible in France. The money was refunded when he started for home. LATHAM'S FEATS. NEW YORK, Nov. 8. Latham, one of the best known English airmen, flew over a skyscraper at Baltimore and covered 25 miles. During the aviation meeting he _ accepted £100 to perform a few evolutions in the air before the windows of a wealthy invalid while the whole city watched. Latham won the duration and distance contests.
