Wylie, R.A., has offered New Zealand a painting of her Dreadnought for hanging, in a public gallery in recognition of New Zealand's patriotism. [Mr W. L. Wylie is the most widelyknown of English marine, artists, because he has dealt mainly with England's naval prowess. His most notable works are concerned with such historical events as Trafalgar and Copenhagen, while he has been very successful in exploiting the pictorial possibilities of the ugly modern naval monsters which continue to uphold England's honour.]
