LORD KITCHENER'S TRAVELS.

WELLINGTON, April 6. Lord Kitchener did not go ashore from the Mokoia on arrival at Papeete from Wellington. Presumably he wished to avoid a demonstration. At Tahiti he paid an official visit to the Governor of the French settlement, and then transferred to the Maripcea. which saiied on March 26 for San Francisco, where she is due to-morrow.
