STOCK REPORTS

Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their sale at Palmerston North on Thursday, March 10, a full yardms of sheep mot with good competition and recent prices were well maintamod. All classes of cattle also sold well, and a total clearance was made. A line ot IU forward bullocks realised £6 10s, 3yr steers £4 18s, steers £4 ss, fat cows £4 to £4 17s 6d, forward cows £2 16s 6d to £3 Is, 18-months steers £2 lie 6d, weanere 22s to 28s, small weaners 15s, bulls £2 2s 6d to £5, two-tooth ewes 13a 6d, medium 2-tooth to 6-tooth ewes 12s 6d, small 2-tooth ewes Us 7d, 4 and syr owes 10s 9d to Us, f.m. ewes 6s Id to 7s, cull ewes 2s 6d to ss, store lambs 7s, woolly lambs 8s 6d, one line of 1300 4 and 6-tooth wethers made 12s, other lines Us 8d to 12s 2d, f.m. rams of various breeds 7s 6d to 21s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company's sales for the week have been held at Himatangi, Raumai, and Palmorston North. They report: — At Himatangi on Monday we had a. moderate entry of both sheep and cattle to an appreciative attendance of buyers, resulting in a total clearance at prices in favour of vendors. At Raumai we had a very heavy yarding of both sheep and cattle. Sheep were inclined to drag, but we were successful in placing the whole of our entry with the exception of two small pens. * Cattle were in good demand and a good clearance was affected. At Palmerston on Thursday we had a fair entry of sheep, mostly of inferior quality, and we were able to place the bulk of our yarding. We quote: —Himatangi. — Sheep.—Cull lambs 4s 9d, cull ewes 3s Id, rape lambs 8s 6d, store ewee 7s 9d to 8s Id, breeding ewes 9s lid, rams li to l?gns. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston N., report:—At our Taihape sale on Wednesday, the 9th inst., a very good yarding of sheep and cattle came to hand. A good demand existed throughout the sale, and practically the whole yarding was quitted at prices satisfactory to vendors. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report:—At our Palmerston North sale on the 10th inst. we offered a medium entry of stock. Good sorts of young ewes and also lambs were in good demand. Following is a list of prices realised. Sheep: 2-th ewes 12s 7d to 13s 4d, mixed nge ewes to 10s 6d, Southdown rams 2 to 3gs.
