THEFT OF THE CROWN JEWELS.
ALLEGED MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE. (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Per Press Association.) (Received Nov. 9, 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 8. Sir Arthur Vicars, late Ulster King-at-Arms, writing to the Times respecting 'the thefte of the Crown jewels from Dublin Caetle, says the Govern.ment and Scotland Yard know the "thief but do nothing. How long will the public allow this miscarriage of justice, he asks.
About two years ago the Irish Crown jewels were mysteriously stolen from Dublin Castle. A Royal Commission enquired into the matter, and severely ceneiired the Ulster King-at-Arms, Sir Arthur Vicars, in whose custody the keys to the apartments and caskets containing the jewels were placed. So pointed were the references to Sir Arthur that he resigned his office.
