STAR OF. SCOTLAND'S GOOD FORTUNE.

(By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.)

(Peb Press Association.) (Received Nov. 9, 10.31 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Nov. 9. The Star of Scotland's voyage to Melbourne, was marked by a sensational incident on October 27 during a heavy gale and a dark night. The ship was in latitude 48.42 south, longitude 77.59 east, when a large derelict loomed up so suddenly that there was not time to alter the course. The derelict missed the ship by a "few feet. Apparently the wreck was a partially submerged sailing ship with a _ 70 foot hull. From the bow was visible a mast standing with broken gear hanging overboard.
