LONDON, May li>. The despatch boat Fawan reports that when passing Port Arthur, on Wednesday morning, she heard six heavy . explosions, suggesting tl: at; the Russians were destroying tlicir ships and docks.
Replying to Russian diplomtuic suggestions regarding China's warlike attitude,' Britain and America have expressed a hope that Itvisbia" will respect Chinese neutrality in Manchuria. The Japanese, on Monday, ctptured Kaiehan, alias Kaiping, and advanced on Teschichio, driving fifteen hundred Russians before thenr! After destroying several miles of way the Japanese re-embarked at Kaiehan and proceeded southwards. A thousand Russians have reentered Niuchwang, • and intend to burn the gunboat-Livoutoh if tin; Japanese approach.
