Jolmsonville Quotations
Johnsonville, January 19. Messrs Freeman E. Jackson and 00, (in conjunction with Abraham and Williams) report on their Johnsonville .sale as follows:—A fair entry of bullocks. With the exception of a few pens of rough bullocks the quality was prime. Bidding was slow for heavier sorts. Beef made 21s and 20s for heavy. Best bullocks, £8. 12s 6d; others, £8 10s; light bullocks, £7 10s to £8; stores, £6 12s 6d to £G los. Sheep were of fair quality. Bidding was dull and the bulk was passed. Best ewes 13s 7d; others, 12s 2d ; light, 11s ; light wethers, 13s Id. A few pens of lambs of medium quality made 9s 3d to 10s 6d.
