[UNITED PRESS ASSOGIATICN.I Wbimngton, This Day. The case of Hunt v. Sir Arthur Gor« don, m which the damages are laid at £8000, is fixed for hearing at the Supreme Court on Monday. The Wellington Harbour Board has decided to borrow £31,000, which will be used m improving the wharf and other accommodation m the harbour.
Sergeant-Major Morgan, for 20 years staff-sergeant-major to the Canterbury V olunteers, has been superseded by Sergeant Blackmore.
Timaru, This Day. At the Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday Thomas ET. Cirson was com« mitted for trial for -wilfully setting fire to a house with intent to de raud the Liverpool, London, and Globe Insnrance Company.
Dunbdin, This Day. Alexander Stewart, son of the Rev. Dr. Stewart, was found dead m his bed.
In Moron's case of arson, the jury were locked up for a night but could not agree and were discharged this ■ morning. A second trial will take place on Monday. Robert Farmer got six months for issuing a false £5 not«.
