London, Feb. 7. A letter containing an explosive material, addressed to Mr Forster, Chief Secretary for Ireland, has been discovered. Tbe police obtained possession of and destroyed the package. Melbourne, Feb. 8. The Yictorian Bacing Club has decided that all Mr de Mestre's horses that were entered for tbe Sires Produce Stakes, at the Autumn Meeting, to be held next month, were wrongly nominated, and they have accordingly been disqualified for that race.
