DUNEDIN ARRESTS.

Dunedin, November 9,

At the Magistrate’s Court this afternoon before Mr Bundle, S.M., James Pearson was charged with keeping a common gaming house at Opoho. Asking for a remand Chief Detective Young said that accused had been arrested at his house and he desired a remfand in order to place all the facts before the court. A remand was granted until Monday, bail being* allowed in accused’s own surety of £SO. William Prince was charged at a later sitting of the- court with keeping a common gaming house. Accused pleaded not guilty. Chief Detective Young said that accused had just been arrested and he asked for a remand for a week. A remand was granted until November 16, bail being allowed in accused’s own recognisance of £SO.
