NO VOTE FOR MAORIS. In the House of Representatives Mr Tau Honare (Northern Maori District) asked the Prime Minister whether it was the intention of the Government to give the Maoris throughout the Dominion an opportunity of voting on ihe liquor question at the forthcoming general election; ami, if not, why not ? Mr Massey replied: “It is quite impossible during the present session to pass the legislation necessary to give effect to the honourable' member’s suggestion.”
