REPORT. The High Commissioner cables as follows: — The Manila market is quiet, and prices slightly weaker. J grade, shipment to he in October, November, or December, £4B IDs; shipment (o be in November, December, or January, lias been sold at the same price. The New Zealand market is quiet. High-point on spot, buyers £SO, sellers £52; afloat, sold at £4B 10s; common, on spot, sold at £44. Third grade tow, £34. Sellers quote for shipment to be in October, November, or December, high--point fair £46 ss, shipment to be in October, November, or December, fair £45.
