FOXTON LICENSING BENCH.
Wedvesday, June 8, 1881. (Before Mr Ward, R.M., Messrs J. W. Gower, J. M'Lennan, and F. Robinson, junr., Comtnissionera ) A. J. Whyte applied for a license for Whyte's Hotel, Main street, Poxton. Applioation granted without comment. Chas. Howe applied for a license for the Foxton Family HoteL The police reported that certain repairs were required to the wall paper in several of the rooms, also other improvements were necessary. — Mr Howe explained that he had effected the improvements required, as Constable M'Anulty would testify. — Constable M'Anulfcy said the improvements had been effected, bnt that the urinal was not placed in a convenient position for the use of the general public — Mr Howe explained that he had placed it in its present position as required by ex-Constable Purcell. — The Benoh direoted Mr Howe to remove it to any convenient position pointed out by Constable M'Anulty. — The application was granted. John Futter applied for a license for the Manawatu Hotel, Avenue road, Foxton. Application granted without comment.
