The secretary of the Marlborough Farmers' Union is in receipt of the following telegram from bir J. G. Wilson, President of the Board of Agriculture:—' , "The Prime Minister has advised me that he has received cabled information regarding the wool position and the outlook for next season,'s clip. This information is of a weighty nature, and of such serious moment that the Board of Agriculture has been requested to convene a meeting of representatives of the woolgrowers to receive this information and discuss the best course to be adopted to meet the position. The Board therefore invites your Union to send one delegate to a meeting which will be held in the Conference Hall, Dominion Farmers' Institute, Wellington, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, 18th inst. This delegate is to act as tlie representative of all the Fanners' Unions in the Marlborough district."
The Sheepcwners' Unions and A. and P. Associations are also to be invited to send delegates to this conference. The matter will be taken i-ato .consideration by the Farmers' Union at thir meeting on Saturday morning next, and in the meantime the executive of the Sounds Farmers' Unions have been communicated with by the Marlborough Farmers' Union.
