THE BLENHEIM SCHOOLS.

At the meeting of the Education Board to-day the question of amalgamating the Boys' and Girls' Departments of the Blenheim School was discussed. A communication from the Education Department insisted that the school must be a mixed one, and salaries would be paid only on that basis. The Board's Executive recommended that all the members of the teaching staff be asked to send in their resignations to clear the way for the necessary re-adjustments. This recommendation, however, was not adopted; a resolution being passed that the Board hold a special meeting on Monday next to discuss the whole question.
