MASTERTON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

The Chamber of Commerce to day appointed a Committee to obtain information regarding the capital required and other particulars in connection with the proposal to establish woollen mills at Masterton. The Chamber decided to ask Mr Hogg, M.H.R., to interest himself, with others,-to enable the Government to grant water-rights for power purposes to private individuals or companies. The Chamber decided to affiliate with the British Decimal Association in London, with the view of working for the adoption of the decimal system of weights and measures, and coinage. A Committee was appointed to consider what action could be taken to have the legislation regarding the recovery of debts amended.
