At the annual meeting of the Westport Chamber of Commerce last night all speakers emphasised the necessity for urgent action in approaching the Government with a view to getting a vote placed on the Estimates this session for the construction of the Westport-Reefton railway from tbe Weatportas well as the Reefton end. It was resolved to call a public meeting next week to further the project.
