INTERCESSIONAL SERVICES.
Chbistohdkoh, June 26.
Intercessional services for the recovery of the King were held in all churches this morning, with special prayers and hymns. The cathedral service, where Bishop Julius preached, was crowded, and there were large congregations at other churches. Wanganli, June 26.
A service of supplication for the King was held at Christ Church this morning, the Mayor, Borough Councillors, and German Consul being amongst tho c present. Reference was also made to the death of Bishop Oowie, and the " Dead March" played at the end of the service. Palmerston N., June 26. The provisions prepared for the celebrations to-day were disposed of among the school children and charitable institutions. This morning fully 600 children were present at luncheon in the Theatre Royal. Special intercessory services were held in the Anglican Churches this morning, and a united service is being held this afternoon at the Theatre Royal.
