Capt. Oliver, of the barque G.M. Tucker, reports fearful weather on tbe voyage across from Newcastle. The sails were blown away, rigging damaged and forecastle knocked about. The officers and crew suffered privations and most of them bear evidences of injury received during the buffeting about which the vessel received.
On Thursday week tho barque was off Cape Farewell, but was blown 120 miles out. to sea by a southwest gale.
The chief officer was washed overboard, but was pulled back on dock by the foot by one of the crew. The supply of fresh water gave out, bub the ship's company managed to condense sufiicieut sea water for their requirements. The captain-states that the voyage was the worst in the whole of his long experience. ,
