To Travel This Season. rpHE PUREBRED CLYDESEALE 1 STALLION, Lord Clyde. He is a dark dapple grey, 12 years old, stands 16$ hands high, with tremendous bone and substance, good action, and mild temper. PEDIGBEE : Lorni Clxde was got by Sir Colin Campbell out. of Nora— both the property of Mr James Wnlls, Kaiapoi Island. Sir Colin Campbell was got by the celebrated King Fergus, imported by D. Innis, Esq. King Fergus was got by Lord Byron, the property of Mr Proudfoot, Loehmaben, Dumfries Shire, Scotland. Lord Byron gained the first prize of £40 at Annan, when four years old ; his stock has gained prizes wherever shown. Lord Byron is by Old Prince, who gained th econd prize at Edinburgh, likewise first prize at Aberdeen Highland Agricultural Show. Old Prince is by Old Prince Royal. King Fergus was bred by Mr Muir, Loch Fergus, Kirkcudbright Shire, out of his prize mare, bred by Mr Frame, Bloomfield, Lanark Shire. He gained no fewer than seven prizes at Home, and many m Canterbury. Sir Colin Campbell's dam, Scotland's Pride, was imported by Mr Lee, and sold to Mr James Walls, Kainpoi Island, for the sum of £250: this mare gained the first prize at the Highland Society's Show, at Dumfries ; she was oat of that well-known Smitheon stock, by the celebrated Clydesdale horse Lofty, who was the winner of many prizes at Homei Sir Colin C&mpbsll, the sire of Lord Clyde, has gained no less than five first prizes, and the dam Nora many prizes likewise. Terms, £3 10s per mare ; two or more mares, £3 each, payable on January Ist, 1883. Grooraage, ss, payable on first service. Paddocks on reasonable terms. He will visit the following places on the days mentioned : — Mondays, Havelock ; Tuesdays, Kaituna ; Wednesdays, Marlborough Town and Tua Marina ; Thursdays, Renwick ; Fridays and Saturdays, at his stables, Blenheim. Stood m Auckland seven years ago at 10 guineas. He was owned at that time by Mr John Lock, of Nelson. Young Stonewall Jackson is out of Mr Geo. Cook'a celebrated trotting mare Lucy. He is a sure foal-getter, and stood a most successful season last year m Takaka, Golden Bay, Province of Nelson. Yotjng Stonewall Jackson is a bright bay, with black points, 16 hands high, seven years old, with splendid action, works m double and single harness, and has a good temper. He will visit the following places : — Tuesdays, Picton Road and Tua Marina ; Thursdays, Renwick Town ; Saturdays, Riley's yard ; Half-way House, Kaituna, Ist October, and every week during the season; the reßt of the week at the Pound.
