Nugget stands 16£ hands high, is a beautiful dark chestnut, with strong bone, good action, and remarkably fine temper. Bred by Mr Woolly. Sire, Major, bred by E. Aiding, Esq., | Wiltshire, England. Winner of the let prize of £25 at the Royal Agricultural Society of England, held at Canterbury, 18th July, 1860. He was then purchased by Thomas Crispe, Esq., and imported to Tasmania, where he won the first prize at Campbell Town, 1861, for the Best Imported Draught Stallion m the Colony; and tie won the same prize at the Society's Show, held at Longford, 1862. He was afteiwards purchased by B. Newall, Esq., for the sum of £550, and imported to Auckland. Grand-sire, the celebrated horse Boxer, winner of the three successive prizes at the Royal Agricultural Society. Great-grand-sire, Rob Roy, the property of J. Salmond, Esq., Glasgow. His progeny have taken 11 first prizes at Highland Agricultural Shows m Scotland. Nugget's dam, Blossom, imported by B. Newall, Esq., and now the property of — . Gleghorn, Esq. Grand-dam, Sober, winner of the three first prizes at the Grand National Show, held m Melbourne. Nugget took First and Champion Prizes for Draught Entires, at the Rangitikei - Mana-vatu Agricultural Society's Show, 1876, and Second Prize m 1877. Nugget's stock took all the prizes at the Farmers' Club Foal, Grain, and Root Show, held at Marton, on the Ist May, 1880. Terms : Single mares, three guineas ; two or more, arrangements can be made.
