In future tho following travelling allowances will be paid to junior officers in the Post and Telegraph Department: —While actually travelling on shore, I.os a day; while relieving, 7s 6d a day; while at sea, for tho (irst day 10s, for subsequent days 2s Gd. Cadets and other junior officers drawing salaries not exceeding £llO a year, when appointed to relieving duty, will bo paid actual expenses only. The fees payable to coroners for conducting inquests have been rovised as iollows:—To the coroner or justice of die peace, other than a salaried stiponliary magistrate, holding any inquest the fee per inquest is to bo ill Is; to tho coroner being a salaried stipendiary magistrate holding any inquest, for every inquest, I.os 6d. In addition, mileage for any inquest held at a distance exceeding ono mile from tho residence of the person holding the same, per mile, one wav, Is.
