Cracked.
An inmate in a certain lunatic asylum would not move off his bed because lie said be was made of glass, and was sure that if he walked about he would break. The doetors of the asylum, wishing to show that he was the same as ordinary men, and not made of glass, one day moved the legs of the bedstead and let him down on to the bare boards of the ward. 1 Now,' said the doctors, after they had picked him up, 'you see you are not made of glass.' 'No,' said the idiot; 'but I am cracked.'
