ON THE SCREEN.

WAHAROA PICTURES. **’ This Reckless Age,” which is the Waharoa theatre’s feature for Saturday, portrays a phase of modern life in which indulgent parents sacrifice their own comfort so that their children may have everything. The children and their friends represent the modern reckless age of carefree youth.

MATAMATA REGENT. Owing to its tremendous success “ Wedding Rehearsal ” will be shown again to-night (Thursday). To-morrow night (Friday) “ Law and Order,” a very fine drama, will be screened. If a cast consisting of the best combination of comedy talent in British studios has anything to do with the success of a film farce, “ His Wife’s Mother,” which is showing at the Regent Theatre on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday, should be a riot. An ingenious- plan'' to placate Henry Hagen’s mother-in-law, devised by Joy, a valet, and and his master, Eustace, Henry’s pal, seemed simple enough for anyone to carry through—but oh! what a tangled web they weave! This mad, merry matrimonial mix-up eventually straightens itself out but not before filmgoers have had more than their full quota of laug'hs and thrills. Suffice it is to say that this hotch-potch of mistaken identities provides one of the most hilarious screen offerings to emanate from a British studio.
