PERSONAL NOTES
Mr and Mrs J. H. Watson, Mr and Mrs J. D. Grey, Invercargill, and Miss E. Watson, Auckland, are spending a holiday together in Queenstown. Mr and Mrs Reg Wilson, postmaster, North Dunedin, are in residence at Queenstown. Mr and Mrs W. Mulholland, Kaitangata, are occupying their cottage on Marino Parade. Mr and Mrs J. T. Hammond of St. Clair, Dunedin, are in a private residence in Queenstown as also arc Mr Briggs and Miss McCorkindale, Dunedin. Miss Betty Clayton is spending her vacation with her parents. Cpl. L. Clayton also paid a short visit to his parents during the holidays. Judge Kennedy and Mrs Kennedy are in residence in Melbourne sweet. Mr Jas. Manson, Dunedin, is again spending his holidays here. Messrs M. and C. Hitchcock and Mr and Mrs P. Casserly have been the guests of Mr and Mrs G. Lane. Mr G. Parker, Miss Phyllis Parker, Mrs C. Varcoe and Mr C. Varcoe, of Opoho, Dunedin, have been visiting Queenstown. The death took place at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr Alex. Scott, Temple Peak, Glenorchy, of Mrs Matheson, wife of the late Donald Matheson. Deceased was a daughter of the late Peter Gallon, one of oldest and much respected residents of Glenorchy. She was born in Elgin, Scotland exactly 93 years ago. The funeral took place yesterday and was largely attended. The services at the residence and graveside were performed by the Rev. P. Anderson.
