Much interest was shown in the match which was played in the Gardens on Wednesday last, between Eovers A and a team of young men. The game was a fast and interesting one, some of the young 'men displaying a fairly sound knowledge of basketball —so much so that the half time score stood 7 —(i in their favour. In the second half, Eovers A scored fairly consistently and after a very fast ten minutes of play, emerged victorious by one .goal, the final score being 13—12. Miss M. Simson refereed. The following were the teams: — Eovers A.—D. Harris (capt)., V. Davis, E. Hales; centres: J. Seckup, L. Scot, D. Sewhoy; defence: M. Eason, M. Inglis, N. Eobins., Young Men’s Team.—Forwards: W. Eobins (capt.), L. Veint, N. ■Oundall; )centre: J. Chalmers, D. McCorkindale, P. Clayton; defence: J. Buckham, E. Robertson, G. Murchison. The boys have again challenged Eovers A and the match will be j played on Wednesday, Ist inst., in ! the Gardens at 3 p.m. | Eovers B play Shotover at the ■ same time on Court 2, this match : being in the nature of a wind up for the 1937 season. i ;
