PERSONAL NOTES.

Mrs C. M. Inglis has returned from a short visit to Dunedin. Mr A. McCormick is visiting Gore and Invercargill. Mr C. Elms, senr., of Fairlie, is visiting Queenstown. Mrs E. Knowles has returned from a visit to Glenorchy. Mr Alex. Barr of Glenorchy is visiting Invercargill. Mrs Jos. Lynch went to Gore last week. Mrs Geer of Arrowtown is visiting her daughter at Gore. Miss Swanson of Invercargill is holidaying in Queenstown, Mr McKee, foreman of works, X.Z. Railways, spent a few days in Queenstown during the week. Miss L. Thompson, of Balclutha, is the guest of her aunts, the Misses Fitzpatrick, Arthurs Point. Miss P. Hamilton, Bluff, is the guest of her sister, Mrs V. MoDougall. Mr Colin Clayton is spending his annual leave with his parents in Queenstown. Miss Molly Downey returned to Dunedin last week after spending a short holiday with her parents, Ml' and Mrs J. Downey. Father A. Gavin, of Invercargill, is spending a few days in Queenstown as the guest of his mother, Mrs Gavin. Mr F. G. Duncan, of Dunedin, and his son Fred, spent the week-end in Queenstown. Mr F. W. Bailey, postmaster, has returned from his annual leave spent in Dunedin. He was accompanied by Mrs Bailey and family. Mr and Mrs E. S. Brown of Dunedin, are in thoir cottage on the Eastern Terrace. Mr and Mrs AY. Collins and son, of Kurow, spent the week-end in Queensas the guest of Mr 'Collins’ parents, Mr and Mrs J. S. Collins. Miss Valerie Seymour, of Dunedin, is the guest of Mrs J. Stroud, Marine Parade. Mr J. Hannah, Kurow, visited Queenstown at the week-end. He was the guest of his sister, Mrs T. Hi. Tallentire. Mr and Mrs lan Haggitt and family of Waitane are spending their holidays in Queenstown. They are in residence in Mr J. A. Haggitt’s cottage on the Frankton Road. Masters Ken Gray and Alan Stewart of Invercargill arc spending the term holidays in Queenstown. Mr F. Lynch spent the week-end with his parents, Mr and Mrs P. ffV Lynch. She was accompanied by Aliss Jean Knowles. Aliss A. AI. Oalder, 8.A., has been appointed secondary assistant teacher at the local Public School. She commences duty on 6th September. Afessrs B.
