In order to obviate the necessity of a short session early next year, the Government has decided to bring down a considerable amount of fresh business, as the result of which parliament may not adjourn till the end of October or early in November. LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE DEPRESSED. A London market report states that on account of unfavourable international factors, the London Stock Exchange is depressed, though the undertone is steady. The wool trade is satisfactory, but butter and cheese are weak.
