The Manuka Gully bridge (Teviotdale Road) will be closed against all traJfio from May 24 till further notice. - A reunion of the past teachers and pupil a oi tho Halkett School will be held in the school on June 4. The quarterly meeting of members of the Chamber of Commerce will be held cn Friday next, at 7.45 p.m., in the Chamber Hall, Cathedral Square. . A jumble sale will be held in St Michael's Parish Hall, Durham Street, to-morrow, at 2.30 p.m. A parade of the Cadet guard of honour and Cadet bugle band is called for 4.45 p;m. at the Railway Station to-day. Tho Lyttelton Cadet tectum of the guard of honour will parade at the Drill Hall, Lyttelton,, at 5.3f> p.m. - to-day. A public address on “The Bible and Ita Eolation to the British Empire" will b© given in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms on Tuesday, at S p m., in connection with the EritishIsrael Association. The lecturer will be Mr J. Baxter, vice-president of the Melbourne British-Israel Association.
