MARKET REPORTS.
DUVAUCHELLE. There was a record entry of cattle—both fats and stores—at tho Duvauoliello sale on Friday last. The entries included a choice consignment of pedigree stock from M*r W. Menzios, of Menzies Bay. Messrs Armstrong Bros, and Goodwill Bros, also sent in several pons oi stud rams. The attendance was very large, including several well-known dealers, whose operations in the fat stock line tended to make a firm market. For such a largo entry it was noted that few lines were passed, and the late rains favoured the disposal of tho store cattle. Prices wore as follows:—W. Menzies’s pedigree cowa sold from 18 to 27 guineas, fat bullocks from £l2 5s to £2l, fat cows £8 6s to £ls 2s Gd, fat heifers £lO 12s 6d to £l4, bulls £7 10s to £ls 10s, springers £l3 to £l3 10a oalyos 38s to £2 ss, yearlings £3 19s to £O, store cows £5 12s 6a to £B. Sheep—English Leicester stud rams up to 49 guineas.
ASHBURTON HORSE FAIR. The National Mortgago and Agenoy Company, Limited, held its monthly horse fair m the Arcade on Saturday. The principal sales wore:—Mare (Syrß), £l9; do, (4yrs)i £2O 10s, fifiy (4yrs) £26 10s,' do. £2. hack (syrs) £29. gelding (syrs) £4O, maro (4yrs) £BB 10s, gelding (4yrs), £3l, hack (Byrs) £lB, gelding (7yrs) £l9, pony gelding (aged), £l2, hack, gig and harness £2B, hack (6yrs) £l6, gelding (Byrs) £l4, mare (syra) £37. do.
