WAR HONOURS.

PRESENTATION OF MEDALS. CANTERBURY RECIPIENTS. Medals won by Canterbury members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force during the operations in France and Belgium were presented by his Excellency tho Governor-General, Lord Liverpool, at a ceremony in the King Edward Barracks last evening. There was a large attendance of friends, relatives and others interested, and as each recipient stepped forward he was greeted with ringing oheers. His Excellency, who was accompanied by Colonel R. Young, 0.M.G., D. 5.0., Officer Commanding the Canterbury Military District, was met at the door by a guard of honour drawn from companies of Senior Cadets and commanded by Lieutenant J. Chisholm. The Cadet Band played the National Anthem, and then the Vice-Regal party inspeoted the mass parade of Christchurch Territorials and Senior Cadets, under command of Colonel G. J. Smith. C.B.E.
