Tester, Grafton Road, Auckland, sister). Otago Battalion, - (November 2.) Talke, Leslie, private (A. S. Cooper, TJpokongaro, Makirikiri, Wanganui). PERSONAL NOTES. Driver James Henry Morrison, killed inaction, left;with the Main Body from Auckland. He was the youngest son of the late William and the late Jane Morrison, of Christchurch, where he resided until a few years ago, when he left to take up farming in Whangarei. He was well known as a member of tho E Battery, and served in the South African war, in which he was wounded. Ho was also wounded on Gallipoli, but recovered and went to France, where he was killed on October 21. His brother, William Morrison, is a member of the Eighteenth Reinforcements. Thev were both drivers for Mr John Brightling for a number of years. Private Herbert Lionel Edman, died of wounds received on September 23, was the only sou of the late John Edman and Mrs Monson, Hawkhurst Road, Lyttelton. Ho was twentythree years of age, and on leaving the Lyttelton District High School was employed on the Purau. Subsequently he left for Timaru, and worked at the Atlas mill, enlisting in the Seventh Reinforcements. Private T. (Percy) Milne, of Riverton, reported dangerously wounded, left New Zealand with the Twelfth Reinforcements in the Cycle Corps. He was born in Sydenham, and was educated 'at the Sydenham School. After leaving school lie was apprenticed to the late Mr G. G. Stead. Prior to joining the Forces he was a well-known jockey in Southland. His wife is now residing with his mother, at 6, Battersea Street, Sydenham. Advice has been received that. Private Arthur Kirby, who was wounded in France, on September 19, has joined his regiment again. Mr Harry M’Millan, of Saltwater Creek, received word on Saturday that his third youngest son, Private Gerald Robert M’MiUan, was convalescent at. Etaple3, France. Mrs H. Stylos, Cbx Street., Ashburton, has received word that her grandeon, Private H. Hyde is in the Third Southern Hospital, Oxford, suffering from wounds in hoth feet, and is progressing favourably. Mr Walter Street, Rakaia, has received word that his son, Private Geoffrey Street, who was recently wounded in the thigh, and has been in hospital in France, has now quite recovered, and expects soon to be again in the firing line, '
