DECISION OF RECRUITING BOARD

WELLINGTON, February IS
Tho Recruiting Board has decided to apply the ballot system to men who eulist on tho understanding, that they may be called up at fourteen days’ notice and arc classified into groups already indicated. When the Defence Department wants a certain number of men from one of the groups, taking them in* their order, the area officers will ballot tho names of all men available.
A SANITARY CORPS. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, February 18. Cabinet has agreed to the formation of a sanitary corps in connection with the Now Zealand forces. _ This corps, which will go forward with the Thirteenth Reinforcements, will consist of an officer, two sergeants and twentyfive men. It will have certain special qualifications and will be employed at work connected with the sanitation ot camps, and the preservation of the health of tho troops. ,
