ALL FOR EMPIRE LEAGUE.
[P*n Press Association.) WELLINGTON, February 18. The toms •of a meeting held at the Commercial Travellers' Club to-day was intensely Imperial, and as tho outcome an All for Empire League was iormod. The resolution carried was as iollows: « ’[’hat this meeting of members of tho Wellington Commercial Travellers’ Association cordially endorses the action taken bv the delegates at the eonlereiice of the United Travellers and Warehousemen's Association, hold at Ohiistchurch on February 10, and approves of tho formation of an All for Empire League as outlined in Empire Leaflet-, No. 1, fooling sure that- the bust interests of tho. country and Empire- necessitate the elimination of enemy trade and influence from our midst. Tho meeting, pledges itself to use every possible endeavour in furthering the objects of the league, and undertakes to heartily support any representative committee that may he sot up to take charge of the movement.” The resolution was tho outcome of action taken by the recent Commercial Travellers’ Conference at Christchurch. The objects of the league, as one gentleman present described them, are expressed in the woyds “ Out with the Gprman trader.”
