ANNUAL MEETING. , : ' ■ The annual meeting of the "'Lyttelton Times!" Sick Fund Society was held in the Gloucester Chambers on Saturday evening, the president, Mr A. Burrowes, being in the chair. - The report and balance-sheet, which were adopted, showed that the receipts for the year had been as follow:—Contributions £lB3 7s. entrance fees 14s, interest £IOO 19s od. The expenditure comprised sick pay £IBB los, working expenditure £6O 14s 3d, library £3oi 19s 9d. funeral allowance refund of interest 12s 6d, and refund of contribuj tions £1 12s-9d, showing a loss of *l< 13s lOd. The liabilities were nil, ana the assets £1548 3s* od. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr F. E. Hyman; president, Mr A. J. T>ickßon; vice-pre-sidents. .Messrs A. W. Woodward, T. E. Robs*on and D. M'Lennan; treasurer, F. E. Hyman; secretary, Mr J. Jacknian; librarian, Mr W. F. Cooper; committee, Messrs P. Diokson, W F. Cooper, A. Foster, A. Burrowes, W. G. Atack, S. East, A. Wylie, T. Broad belt,' W. Keynon. J. TV. Tnlly, (J. Ardley, T. A. Stringer, P. Watts, A. L. Jones* J- Vincent, C. A. Comerford and H. Owers. A number of rules were altered and passed. A vote of thanks was accorded to the retiring officers.
