MEETIXG OF EXECUTIVE

COMMITTEE.

The Executive Committee of the Hawarden Agricultural Pastoral Association met on Friday evening; present—the president, Mr \Y. V. Bridson (in the chair), Messrs G. Rutherford, H. M. Anderson, F, Mason, J. Scurr, R. White, G. Gardiner. T. A. Shields, J. Weld, W. J Allan, W. H. Evans and 11. Allan *A motion of sympathy was passed, members standing, .with the relatives of the late Mr \V. O. Rutherford, who was a life member of the association. On the motion of Mr It. Wright, seconded by Mr Anderson, it was decided that tho annual show to be held on March 31 should bo an open ono. The schedule, with one or two amendments, was adopted. The following committees were appointed :—Refreshments, Messrs G. Gardiner, H. M. Anderson, W. White and W. H. Evans; side shows, J. Rollo, W. Earl, jun. and "Vi. Mather; competitions, Messrs G. Rutherford, C. Evans and T. A. Shields. The committees were asked to report at the next meeting. It was decided not to allow any professional side shows on the grounds on show day. The secretary was instructed to apply to tho Minister of Internal Affairs for permits for raffles. It was decided to submit ohe publican's booth to public auction on the first sale day in February. It was decided to hold tho next committee meeting on Friday, January 7.
