MINING.

[From Our Correspondent.] GREYMOUTH, September 30. The mine manager for the Millerton Gold Mining Company, Limited, reports for the week:—'The contractors have risen 14 feet: total 23 feet. Tho countrv continues hard. The road from the river to the shaft is now complete. The foundations for the engine and boiler have been placed in position and the building will he started when tho sawn timber is carted from the mill, probably this week.
