[From Our Correspondent,] WELLINGTON, September 13. NEW ZEALAND WINE. With a view to encouraging the production of New Zealand win© the New Zealand Yiticultural Association has petitioned Parliament asking that the product should bo exempted absolutely from tho operation ot the Licensing Act, but that wine licenses should bo issued and tho purity of the wine be secured by legislation prohibiting adulterants. Tho petition urges also that tho grape growing industry should be for a time protected by a five shilling duty per gallon on imported wines.
