THE QUEEN’S STATUE.

TO THE EDITOR.

Sir, —Kindly allow me space in your valuable paper to say a few words to the public of Christchurch. The statue of our late Queen Victoria, in. Victoria Square, is a good and lifelike figure of her Majesty. Look at it now. I consider it a perfect disgrace to the people of Christchurch. It would look better if it were cleaned and it would improve both Victoria Square and the city.— I am, etc., F. G. VINCENT.
