Cade was the only Christchurch competitor who took part in last night’6 boxing contests. He met Monaghan in the middle-weight class, and they provided the beet exhibition of the evening. Monaghan, however, was too strong, and had too long a reach, for his plucky opponent, who nevertheless proved himself an excellent boxer.
