RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES. Wednesday. Tho morning was cold and boisterous, with showers of rain falling, which delayed operations until after breakfast, when the weather cleared somewhat. Tho tracks were in a verywet condition from 'the effects of tho heavy rain. All of the work, which was of an uninteresting character, was accomplished on the inner grass track, which provided fairly good working ground!, but. it was much cut up towards the close of the morning. Cutts despatched Cannie Chiel for a 'three-quarter speed task overthree circuits. Cannie Chiel was, however, anxious to improve the pace, and went freely. De la R-sy and Lavalette compassed two circuits, being ridden out over the last two furlongs of each the pair finishing to-
s&ther. Muscovite, by himself, accomplished ,i similar -task. The following horses were given half >to three-quarter pace work:—Cora Linn, Leonore, Glndisla, Treadmill, Golden Vein, Deerstalker,' Ragabrash, Aherlow, Windwhistlo, Stepdancer, Firebrand, King Stork, Narcissus, Ordnance, Welbeck, Lady Lillian, Roscommon, Secret Society, Antigone, Calibre and Kopu. Pallas and Clanburn performed the lightest of tasks.
