[Per Pkess Association.] DUNEDIN, Oct/1. The first conference of delegates from the branches of lh'3 Farmers' Union in Ota'go was opened yesterday, aS Milton, some twenty-six delegates from Oamara to Riverton attending. Mr R. Craig was elected Chan-mam. The platform as submitted' was adopted, as -\fere the rules, •with slight modification's. In the evening an order paper, containing about forty motions, was brought forward, and the conference was expected to sit late.
