THE HON. W HALL JONES.

to the editor. Sir, Having read certain remarks from your Wellington correspondent concerning What has been styled the “churlishness” of the Minister for Public Works, I should like, as possibly the most constant, if not the‘most troublesome, of Ministers’ nonofficial correspondents, to. state that I have found the Hen W. Hall-Jones the most prompt, courteous and decided. Other Ministers I have not been able to see, but a hasty telegram to the gentleman alluded to brought back a reply that hie would be happy to meet me at the station. I consider him by no means tbe least valuable member of the, Cabinet.-—I aih, fete. , J. ft. NEWLYN.
